Balwant Cheema, CPA moves from a cloud competitor to Alpha Actual for better service and speed

Alpha Actual, LLC September, 22, 2014 Balwant Cheema, CPA had decided to move all four of his offices, including his main branch located in Miami FL, to a premier cloud partner. He chose Alpha Actual, a cloud technology company located in Los Angeles, CA, as his firm’s cloud partner to transition their businesses to the next level of the cloud. Balwant S Cheema, CPA is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. When working at Deloitte, Bal’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to open his own firm in Southeast Florida in the early 1990’s. Now, more than 20 years later, his firm is continuing to grow and knew he would need the right technology to continue to be profitable. In 2013, Bal opened a new office in Tucson, Arizona. As his business grew and changed over the years, the requirements of doing business changed as well. Bal wanted to research what the cloud could do for his business and, from his findings, decided to make the change to a cloud company. While with his previous cloud company there were definite advantages to this new cloud environment, but it just wasn’t what he had hoped for. This is nothing new; we hear of these frustrations often when firms deal with “cheap” cloud vendors. The result is poor service and poor performance. They just can’t offer the same level of service you receive when you have Alpha Actual’s 360º Concierge Cloud. Quickly, Bal became frustrated with the competitor when he found himself and his staff still dealing with IT issues.“I would spend about 2-4 hours a month dealing with IT issues, and that was usually just sending support tickets. When I added in all the time that was being spent by each person in the office every month, it was adding up to between 30-40 hours a month of downtime. That’s an entire week’s work for one person spent dealing with IT issues, every month!” The state of things had come to such a point where Bal would not accept any new business because he feared they would not be able to provide the level of service his clients deserved. “Once we go live with [Alpha Actual’s] system and everything is more streamlined, we will be able to accept more clients.” Now that Bal has made the move to Alpha Actual, his IT woes are in the past and he can, finally, take advantage of one of his greatest assets, being a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. “That is going to be really big for us, being able to host our QuickBooks for our clients. Which, I think, is the first step going forward to becoming our clients entire accounting department. That is something that our old cloud provider could not offer us.” Bal clearly sees the difference between doing business with a premier cloud partner, like Alpha Actual, versus an inexperienced cloud vendor.
